Forum Overview

Since its launch, the Sustainability Forum has brought together leaders shaping the future of sustainable business. In 2026, the focus shifts from ambition to action; exploring how organisations can turn sustainability into resilience, stronger business models, and long-term value.

The Regenerative Edge

Build resilience. Rethink growth. Create long-term value.

As pressure grows across climate, supply chains, investment, and business transformation, the challenge is no longer whether sustainability matters; it is how to deliver it in a way that is practical, credible, and commercially relevant.

The 3rd Sustainability Forum 2026 brings together leaders to explore the next phase of sustainable business: redesigning business models, strengthening supply chains, unlocking innovation, and building organisations that are better prepared for the future.

The future is not just sustainable. It must be regenerative.

Highly recommend Erudite T.S. for gaining comprehensive insights into today’s most relevant topics. From sustainability to emotional intelligence and everything in between, they gather representatives from industry leading organisations to share their perspectives on current challenges and identified solutions. A great place to build and foster relationships within your professional network.

1. SUSTAINABILITY IN URBAN TRANSPORT OPERATIONS

Nick Daly presented a case study on sustainability innovation across the world’s largest tram network, highlighting practical strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and integrate sustainable technologies into transport operations.

2. SUSTAINABLE HEALTHCARE: TOGETHER TOWARDS ZERO 2030

Dr. Ramsey Awad shared insights from Hunter New England Local Health District’s “Sustainable Healthcare: Together Towards Zero 2030” initiative, which is transforming healthcare operations to achieve carbon neutrality and zero waste by 2030.
The initiative focuses on renewable energy adoption, waste reduction, water conservation, and more sustainable clinical practices. Early results show strong progress, including a 31% reduction in carbon emissions, a 23% decrease in water consumption, and a 71% reduction in desflurane anaesthetic gas use.

Key takeaway: Sustainability in healthcare can deliver measurable environmental impact, operational efficiency, and long-term system resilience.

3: REPORTING ON MATERIAL SUSTAINABILITY TOPICS

Adrian Berthault explored how organisations can strengthen sustainability reporting through the lens of double materiality; identifying the environmental and social issues that are both financially material to the business and significant to society and the environment.
The session highlighted how sustainability can be more effectively integrated into financial reporting, with a focus on transparent disclosure, implementation challenges, and aligning sustainability risks and opportunities with financial performance and regulatory expectations.

Key takeaway: Better sustainability reporting starts with understanding what matters most to both the business and the world around it.
